Steve Gleason - State of the Union Address

Steve Gleason gave ALS a national platform this week when he traveled to Washington, D.C., for President Obama's State of the Union address. Gleason is a person with ALS and founder of Team Gleason, and was invited to Washington by Sen. David Vitter, R-La.

During his visit, Gleason underscored the importance of assistive technology to people with ALS, and asked for continued Medicare reimbursement for communications equipment for all patients living with neuromuscular diseases.
