Sara Vaughan graduated with a BA in Psychology from UNCG (North Carolina). She worked as a research coordinator for the Department of Neurology at Wake Forest Baptist Health for 6 years where she focused on Parkinson?s disease, epilepsy, and acute stroke research. Following that, she moved to Massachusetts to begin work as a study monitor for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, specializing in neuro-oncology. Sara did that for approximately 1 year until she was presented with a new opportunity at MGH. She began working for the NCRI in June 2015 as a Project Manager over ALS research. Sara says ?working on the Answer ALS trial from the ground up has been an incredible experience. I have learned a lot of valuable information by working alongside some really talented people in their respective fields. As a team, we have been able to overcome all the challenges and obstacles of getting this unprecedented study started and enrolling, which is a great accomplishment and essential for the success of this trial! I look forward to working on this trial over the next few years and being involved in helping bring an end to ALS!?
